Great ThingsCrown

It is an exceedingly great joy to be the pastor of such wonderful people.  The church family of Kingdom Keys Church are:

(1) passionate about soul-winning
(2) lovers of the Bible – reading it and hearing it preached
(3) generous and loving in their giving

Those are 3 character traits that I believe all pastors would love to see in their flock.  I must be the most blessed and the richest pastor around.  God is doing something bigger than these little bitty eyes can see.

There are so many things that are working together to make this year a magnificent year of growth and blessing at Kingdom Keys Church.  We will soon celebrate our third anniversary of the beginning of this church.  God has greater plans for this church and for the impact of this church in this city than have been seen.

God said that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above what we can ask or think, according to the power that worketh within us.  I have already seen things that were beyond my expectations in ways that I have listed in this blog.  And, yet the greatest of all these things is yet to be done.

I’m thankful for all the folks that God has given to make this journey together with me.  Together we will do exploits for God in these last days, by the power of His Word and Spirit.  We’re going somewhere special.  There is an assignment for this church.  There are plans that God has that are great.  I’m glad I am blessed to live and experience what I’m experiencing right now.

New WebsiteCrown

Will you look at this newly remodeled and totally “made over” website?  Makes me say “Wow”.  In fact, I’m so excited, I will say it backwards – “woW”.  I’m not a prophet, but we believe we are a prophetic church.  What do I mean by that?  I mean we are speaking on behalf of God, carrying His message to our sphere of influence.  We are not only speaking the Word of God to our culture and area of the world, we are out there on the cutting edge, out there in front, not lagging behind.

We want to reflect that in everything we do.  We want our website to be an excellent, cutting-edge, easy to navigate website.  We strive for excellence in all we do at the church, whether it is the children’s church, the youth program, the worship service, the song lyrics on the screen, the sign outside the building, or whatever.  What we don’t do is compromise the preaching of the Word.  We endeavor to prepare and seek the Lord and continue to work on doing our best to present the message, but compromising truth is not on our radar screen.  We believe we should continually be open to new ideas, new methods, and modern technology, but seeker-friendly sermons and laying aside Bible-based convictions, though they may be considered old-fashioned, are not in the mix at Kingdom Keys Church.

We are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We are not ashamed to lovingly “preach it straight”.  We are not ashamed to preach about the goodness and the severity of God.  And, we are always ready to take our firm stand on the Word, regardless of whom it identifies us with or separates us from.  We are determined to stay up with the times, as reflected in our new website, but we are even more determined to stay on target with God.

Come visit us anytime at Kingdom Keys! As kids, we would get excited about our Christmas stocking being filled with candy and stuff. It’s still exciting even as adults. But, how often have we stopped to thank God for filling our stockings with feet? Just something to help you remember to thank God for the many blessings we have because He gave us the first Christmas - Jesus’ entrance into the world to save us. I love getting Christmas cards. Thankfully, hardly anyone sends me an “X-mas” card. You can’t spell Christmas without Christ. May your Christmas be blessed in many ways. If you focus on the right things and honor the Lord, your Christmas will be fine in 2009.
